Lene Malzahn graduated from High School in June 2019. She was participating in the German Federal Volunteer Service (Bundesfreiwilligendienst (BFD)) at the RLI as a volunteer in the Off-Grid Systems Research Unit from October 2019 until the end of August 2020. She supported the team for one year and used the BFD to gain new experience and insights into the work in the ecological field and to orientate herself professionally.
